Is Mediation Right for your Divorce?
Will it be the courtroom or the conference room?
Divorce is all too often a difficult and argumentative process, full of natural hurts and angers. At Divorce Mediation Professionals, we sincerely believe even the most difficult problems can resolved courteously and outside of the court system. Furthermore, we believe the process should not be financially devastating.
We work with you to fairly split assets, debts, and personal property using up-to-date financial planning strategies to ensure sustainable futures for each new household. If children are involved, we help each parent find ways to share meaningful time with their kids, co-parent effectively, and provide for their support.
Most divorcing couples ultimately want a to come to a fair settlement with limited financial consequences. We have found that while couples may disagree about what is a fair settlement, they usually share consensus on several points:
- They want to leave a marriage with the means to live a substantially similar lifestyle as the one they enjoyed during marriage
- They hope to maintain or improve relationships with their children.
- They do not want to pay high lawyer bills or have to pay tax penalties.
- They do not want the divorce to drag out over many months or even years.
